President Lee Jae Myung plans to preside over a meeting this week to check progress on the government's "three megaprojects" initiative centered on building up the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industries, his office said Monday.
The public-private meeting, the third of its kind, will be held Tuesday at Cheong Wa Dae to discuss ways to ensure good living conditions around the areas where the projects will take place, according to the presidential office.
The meeting will also be aimed at checking progress on the projects, which focus on semiconductors, physical AI and AI data centers, it said.
The reports on how to create livable areas will be presented by the Office for Government Policy Coordination and the ministries of land, education, culture and health.
In addition to the relevant ministers and Cheong Wa Dae officials, the meeting will be attended by senior executives from Samsung and SK. (Yonhap)
