Kolmar Korea, an original design manufacturer of cosmetics, on Monday posted 1 trillion won ($825 million) in revenue with an operating profit of 103 billion won in 2015.
This is the first time the company’s revenue has surpassed 1 trillion won. It is some 20.4 percent up from 826 billion won in 2014, the company said.
The major contributor to the record was the company’s eye cream for local brand AHC, and the Perfect Skin foundation for Genny House. The development of generic drug Full Care, a dermatophytosis treatment, also helped the healthy record, the company said.
Kolmar, established in 1990, supplies goods to more than 500 companies around the world, including AmorePacific, L’Occitane and LG Household and Health Care. The company expanded its business to pharmaceuticals and health supplements in 2002 and 2004, respectively.
