May 12, 2007: South Korea's cargo ship Golden Rose goes down in China's east sea, killing six and leaving 10 others missing.
July 12, 2007: South Korea's cargo ship Orchid Sun sinks in waters near Oman, leaving 13 crew members missing.
Dec. 25, 2007: Freighter Eastern Bright carrying chemicals sinks in rough waters off the coast of Yeosu, leaving 14 seamen missing.
March 10, 2009: Cargo ship Orchid Pia goes under after a collision with automobile carrier off the coast of Japan, leaving 16 sailors missing.
May 26, 2010: South Korea's warship Cheonan sinks near the western sea border with North Korea, killing 46 sailors on board.
