A Brooklyn-based coffee shop invented and began selling a 20-ounce (about 566-gram) espresso beverage with 10 shots, the British Daily Mail reported Thursday.
Dieci, Italian word for 10, is a name of a coffee that makes you stay awake for a long period time. Tony Fisher, owner and founder of The Pulp & The Bean in New York, nicknamed this strong coffee “porno in a cup” as a marketing strategy to promote sales. Thanks to a dramatically skyrocketing number of customers obsessed with the word “porno,” the shop’s overall profit has also increased.
Stronger than the regular cup of coffee, the Dieci works for those who hope to stay awake late into the night. Fisher said among the Dieci enthusiasts are students who need to stay awake for their exams.
A single cup of Dieci is being sold at $8.
Dr. Jacob Shani, the chief of cardiology at Maimonides Medical Center, raised concern over high-caffeine drinks saying it would be wise for the normal, healthy people to keep away from the beverage.

업소주인 토니 피셔(37)는 에스프레소 10샷의 맛이 화끈해 포르노란 별명을 붙였다고 설명했다.
에스프레소는 공기를 압축해 뽑아낸 커피를 ‘데미타세’라는 작은 잔에 담아 마시는 이탈리아 정통 커피인데 샷잔은 소주잔 보다도 작아 용량이 1온스에 불과하다. ‘포르노 커피’는 그러나 10샷이어서 상상을 초월할 정도로 강렬하다.
