The 2010 Korea Liquor Contest took place from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 at Coex in Seoul. The event was hosted by the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

KwangJuYo CEO Cho Tae-kwon started producing high quality soju under the brand name HWAYO in 2005. Tasting something like a cross between sake and soju, HWAYO is an elegant, pear-scented rice wine that is aged for three months in an underground cellar.
