Star baduk player Lee Chang-ho, 35, will marry an ex-baduk website reporter Lee Do-yun, 11 years his junior, in October.
The two met in 2008 when she was covering Lee’s game with his rival Yoo Chang-hyuk at a baduk festival on Mount Taebaek in Gangwon Province.
They have been developing their relationship ever since, going on dates about twice a week watching movies and musicals together, Lee said.
He has not decided yet on where the wedding ceremony will take place, but said it would be Oct. 28, as the mother of his bride-to-be suggested.
Lee once said last year that he would get married this year.
He recently informed the Korea Baduk Association of his wedding plans, while asking his game schedules for the month, the organization said.
