EXO, the K-pop group currently topping domestic charts, sold over a million album copies in two months, recording the largest volume of sales in the shortest span of time for any K-pop act.

The group reported on Wednesday accumulated sales of 1,125,020 copies with second regular EP “EXODUS” and its repackaged edition “Love Me Right,” which sold 753,860 and 371,160 copies respectively.

EXO had previously hit the million mark in 2013 with EP “XOXO,” a feat no other South Korean music group had achieved in 12 years. It had taken the boy group only seven months to climb the million figure.

With “EXODUS” and “Love Me Right” sales adding up to over a million in two months, EXO further shortened its record, reaffirming the group’s strong status in the K-pop industry.

The idols, minus one Chinese member ― who is rumored to be exiting the group ― will kick into action on TV music programs with Thursday’s “M! Countdown,” to promote “Love Me Right.”

“Love Me Right” released Wednesday, contains all 10 songs from the original “EXODUS” plus four new songs. The repackaged EP enjoyed heated presales prior to release.
