Thousands gather in Alice Springs for Finke Desert Race

Thousands have gathered in Alice Springs this weekend for the Finke Desert Race which is one of the world's roughest and toughest motorsport events. Hundreds of competitors will take off from Alice Springs tomorrow to race a treacherous 230-kilometre track to a remote Aboriginal community before racing back on Monday.
