The exhibition, titled “COLLAGEARL,” will showcase collage pieces made from recycled materials such as cloth, sand, wood, paper and furniture artfully arranged together on a canvas. Also included in the exhibition will be Naul’s famous LP Collage series, digital print pieces and eco-friendly bags and phone cases the singer designed himself.
“The materials used for my collages are usually just thrown away,” Naul said in a statement, adding, “I don’t know why I’m attracted to the image of these thrown away materials, but when I put them together I feel aesthetic value in the pieces.”
Naul has continuously displayed interest in the fine arts over the years ― he was a fine arts major in college ― opening the solo exhibition “drawing 05” in Seoul in 2006 and holding a special exhibition in Osaka, Japan in July.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Brown Eyed Soul’s official debut, the group will release a 10-year anniversary album sometime before November.
